I think it happens to us all at some point in our life.  There is a moment when you wake up and realize that you have just been doing life instead of living it.  I am not talking about those times when you finish a good book or watch an incredible movie that temporarily inspires you. I am talking about a life-altering-never-going-back moment.  For me, Kevin Leggett, it happened when I read this verse:
Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:16

My initial response was to read through a discipleship book that would keep pointing me back to the words that I brought on this initial hunger. Then I found myself worshipping in public with no regard to my surrounding, as if I were slowly losing my mind. My latest syptom was to delete my other blogs and start over fresh and hopefully regurgitate the powerful truths I find along the way.

  1. Huh. So that's what happened to your other blogs. You might want to fix the link on your website.

  3. Chris: Thanks for pointing that out. Should be updated now!

Solomonrexius: You are absolutely right. I appreciated the video. For me, the one thing that kept jumping out at me was the 'scandalous message' of the Gospel. For some reason, I kept repeating that to myself in light of what Christ has done for me. And as an added bonus, I found some great music. Thanks bro!

  4. My facebook today said, "regrouping". Just getting finished with the holidays with out of the country family and finding myself very "ugh...blah". Hoping to capture this sense of freshness and persistance the Lord has given you in this new venture in each post. Keep on keeping on...
